How To Set Up a Traffic Exchange Account

So, you joined a traffic exchange but are not quite sure what to do next? Well, Easy Team is here to help you get it all figured out to make the most of your new traffic exchange account.

Let’s use Chit Chat Traffic as an example. Most other sites will be a lot alike so it would be a good idea to bookmark this post for future reference,

Sign Up For Your Account

First of course is to sign up for your account. fill in all the required information, choose a user name and pass word, enter your click bank or Click Track Profit user names if asked. Enter capcha verification and click submit.

Tip~ use a gmail account for traffic exchanges.
Comcast, yahoo, hotmail, etc are not advertiser friendly and many will not allow you to white list a traffic exchange. Gmail is very advertiser friendly.

Once you submit your information, the site will send you an email with an account verification link. YOU MUST CLICK THIS LINK TO ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT!!! It should come right to your inbox, but often will get filtered to your spam or junk box. If your welcome email ended up in your spam/junk box first, move it to your inbox. Then simply white list the email address by coping it and pasting it into your address book/contact list.

Set Up Your Ads

Now that you have verified your account, the very first thing you should do is add your links to your opportunity or list building splash page. At the top of the page there will be a tab for ads. Under this tab you will choose sites. In the sites section give your site a title, this title will only be seen by you it is used to help you identify your site quickly. Then copy and paste your link in the space provided. Click Add to save your information.

Next step is to add a banner. Under the same Ads tab, choose banner. On the banner page you will enter the link to your image. This link should end in a .jpg .gif or other image file extension. The next space is for your link. Click save. When the page refreshes, your banner should show as it will be seen across the site.

Text ads are the next choice under the Ads tab. This is for your text ad for your business or opportunity. Enter a catchy phrase in the text space and put your link in the next one. Click save and that’s it.

Many sites require you to assign a certain percentage of your points or credits. This is good. It insures that your sites are always getting traffic, as long as you have credits. Chit Chat happens to require 60% of your credits. Assign the full 60 if just one site is added, split the credit between the amount of sites you add to your account.

With your ads set up, you are ready to start surfing for credits, or purchasing some if you prefer.

Don’t Forget To Fill The Downline Builder!

Many new comers to traffic exchange advertising forget or simply ignore the downline builder section. This is a big mistake! You are missing out on some signups! Most traffic exchanges have a downline builder section. In there are partner sites or links for other programs that the site owner has success with. If you are in any of the opportunities or businesses make sure you put your link in. Anyone who signs up to Chit Chat Traffic under you, will also fill in their downline builder, and if they are not a current member, they will sign up under you.

Now that your account is all set up, you are ready to go. Start surfing and gaining new visitors to your sites! Happy Surfing!

Out Of My Comfort Zone Again… :)

Hey There!

Well today I decided to visit some advertising resources I have let go for a whileย , I was very busy with CTP competitions. I have been reevaluating my advertising and the result’s I have been getting. And sad to say I think because I use the same places day in and day out my results are falling short of what I expected. ๐Ÿ™

So today, I am working on mailers and traffic exchanges that don’t have anything to do with CTP That I have forgotten about. ๐Ÿ™‚ Over the next few days I plan on getting all my accounts reinstated and working in my favor again. This time I am focused on a daily schedule.

Monday will be CTP and team stuff
Tuesday will be strictly for mailers for 6 hours
Wednesday Touch base again with the team and CTP
Thursday will be for all the Traffic exchanges that I put aside
Friday will be email marketing with all my responders
Saturday and Sunday I will spend doing what I want.

Now I am hoping that I can increase my results and be satisfied with my new plan.

So Being in that uncomfortable place again is a force to be reckoned with, it will make or break you. And I am not one to be broken, I might go down at times but I will pull my head out of my booty and get back at it. Im not perfect and don’t pretend to be, but I could be powerful if I let myself be. ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a Great Day ๐Ÿ™‚
Debra

3 List Building Essentials For Entrepreneurs

The money is in the list.

Having an email list is a surefire way to make more sales.

You have probably heard it said online: the money is in the list.

And it is.

Having an email list is a surefire way to make more sales because the people on your email list are there because they like what you are talking about and they want to hear from you.

These same people are more than likely to purchase something from you.

The problem is that many authors and entrepreneurs have no idea on how to grow a list, or, how to cultivate that list once it has grown.

List building and nurturing is an ongoing process; and if done properly, could catapult your income.

There are three things you need to have in place if you plan to grow your list to a size that will spell massive profits for you.

You should aim to get at least 500 people on your list.

In the eyes of some internet marketers, that may seem like a small number, but, it is a good starting point for someone brand new to marketing a business online.

You don’t want anybody on your list, your goal is to only get targeted people to subscribe to your list; people who have a problem that you have the solution to.

In the online marketing world, a list is crucial to the growth of your business.

And many of us who have internet based businesses, rely on paid email marketing platforms to host our lists, such as Aweber, Getresponse, Ontraport, and Infusion Soft.

Because we pay based on the number of subscribers, no one wants to waste their money having dead leads on their list.

What are dead leads?

Dead leads are people who never open your emails, or respond to any of your emails that ask them to submit a response.

Even if you use a free email marketing platform, such as MailChimp, you are still limited to only 2,000 subscribers.

That may seem like a lot, but, no one wants to waste time talking to a bunch of people who aren’t completely interested in what you have to say.

You can’t make any money from your list if your list never opens your messages.

But that is for another article.

In this article, I want to let you know the importance of having an email list.

I visit the sites of many authors and entrepreneurs on a daily basis, and one of the things I see is the lack of list building activities.

It could be because the concept of building a list is not really emphasized, especially among authors.

There are three things you need in order to build a list of people who are at least interested in whatever it is that you might be selling:

  1. A landing page
  2. An offer
  3. An opt-in form

When people come to your site, you need to offer them something so that you can get their name and email address. If they came to your site, it is obvious that you must have something that they want. Why not keep in touch with them, so that you can continue to share other things that they may be interested in, and eventually purchase.

Offering something for free, like sample chapters, video course, book trailer, audio books, whatever it may be, gives you the chance to collect the names and email addresses of people who you can now build a relationship with.

Remember, people buy from those that they know, like and trust.

If that person is you, they will buy what you are selling.

Your landing page can be a page on your website, or a simple opt-in form that you design in your email marketing software. It’s simply the page that people will land on to learn that you have a free offer.

Then, of course, there is your actual offer.

What is something of value that you would be willing to give away for free, in exchange for the potential to earn more money by adding the person a list?

If you haven’t already, and you are serious about being successful with your eBooks, or your own online business, I would strongly advise you to start building an email list.

The sooner you start, the better.

These are but a few of the benefits for Traffic Exchange Marketing

How Traffic Exchanges Marketing works is, you view other members web pages in exchange for having your own web page viewed.

Every time you view another member’s web page for a period of time (for example 20 seconds) your balance of credits increases. Every time a member views your web page for the same period of time your credit balance decreases.

Almost all of them also allow you to build a network of members you’ve referred. Often your network can extend several levels deep so that as people you refer in turn refer others, you continue to gain more and more credits.

Some Traffic Exchanges also pay out cash incentives when the people in your network upgrade their membership or purchase other forms of advertising that the Traffic Exchange offers such as banner ads. This gives you several ways to benefit from participating in the Traffic Exchange.

When deciding which Traffic Exchange program to join, there are several features to consider:

Credit Ratio – All Traffic Exchanges allow you to earn credits in exchange for viewing other member’s web pages. Look for one that provides a good return on the number of credits you receive for each page you view.

Time Limits – When surfing for credits, most traffic exchanges require you to view a site for a minimum amount of time before you earn a credit. This is normally somewhere between 10 and 30 seconds. The longer you have to view a page means the slower you can surf, but it also means longer that potential customers view your pages.

Anti Cheat Mechanisms – To ensure that a real person is viewing your web site most Traffic Exchanges use anti cheating mechanisms. This usually means that instead of clicking a “Next Site” button you have to click on a specific graphic such as a number, letter, picture or coloured icon from a selection of a few, to proceed to the next site.

Repeated failure to do this correctly means account suspension or termination. Look for a Traffic Exchange with a system like this to ensure that your credits are not wasted on cheaters who never view your page.

Referrals – This is the fastest way to build up your credits. Plus you use the Power Surf Formula to recruit your Network. When someone signs up from your promotional efforts they are placed in your downlink.

Paid/Pro Memberships – Most Traffic Exchanges offer paid memberships as well as free memberships. Normally a paid membership earns you privileges such as an allocation of credits per month plus an increased number of credits for your own surfing and the surfing of your network. Most exchanges also allow you to purchase extra credits.

Bonuses – Many Traffic Exchanges will give you bonus credits for signing up, for surfing a certain number of pages, or for winning competitions or sweepstakes. Look for ones that provide added bonuses and accumulate credits even faster!
